There are more than 400 chemical compounds in a cannabis plant. The best known and studied active ingredients are THC and CBD.

THC

The most commonly used and widely studied active substance in a cannabis plant.

THC  is the one of the active ingredients of cannabis with a psychoactive effect, i.e., it has an effect on cerebral functioning and mental processes. It is connected to receptors, most of which are concentrated in the central nervous system, but not exclusively. The THC gains expression primarily in the following medical conditions: Pain alleviation, muscular relaxation and contractions, protection against nerve cell destruction, appetite stimulation, decreasing and calming mental pressure an as an antiemetic (after chemotherapy).

THC has many medical benefits in the treatment of various diseases (including analgesia). Among other things, it is used to treat and alleviate the symptoms of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Tourette’s disease, loss of appetite and PTSD. It is also used to relieve nausea and vomiting as a result of chemotherapy in cancer patients. THC is a molecule that has a psychoactive effect, i.e. it affects brain function and mental processes.

Due to its chemical composition and spatial form, THC can bind to two main groups of receptors in our body: CB1 located mainly in the central nervous system and CB2 located mainly on cells of the immune system. As a result of this connection, many mechanisms are activated in the body to facilitate health. However, keep in mind that marijuana use can cause a number of side effects, most of which are not serious.

It is advisable to consult with medical staff or the company’s customer service department for specific guidance and information.

CBD

This active substance has been extensively tested in recent years and has proved effective in many different diseases.

CBD in the cannabis plant that does not have psychoactive qualities therefore is suitable for a very broad range of diseases and symptoms for young and adult patients throughout most of the day.

Medical conditions in which treatment can be administered with CBD-rich preparations: Pain alleviation, reducing trembling and contractions (Parkinson’s disease, certain types of epilepsy), as an antiemetic, for inflammatory conditions (inflammatory bowel diseases, psoriasis etc.), calms and improves moods, anti-oxidant and more. The substance has calming and mood-improving properties.

It is recommended in combination with THC in various concentrations to reduce psychoactive effects, while increasing the effects through the synergy that occurs between them. Scientists called this combination Power Couple.
